WhatsApp will only be compatible with devices running Android 5.0 and above or iOS 12 and above, as updated in the app’s Help Center.

Older iPhone models, including the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus, will also lose access to WhatsApp, but users can continue using the app until May 5, 2025.

What to Do:

If your device is listed, you’ll need to upgrade to a newer smartphone to keep using WhatsApp without interruption. Ensure your phone runs Android 5.0 or later or iOS 12 or newer for continued compatibility.
