Islamabad, Apr 21, 2025: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has relaunched its POS Receipt Reward Program, aiming to tighten its grip on tax evasion and bring transparency to retail transactions.

This initiative motivates consumers to shop at officially registered outlets that are digitally connected to the FBR’s monitoring system.

By shopping at these compliant businesses, customers automatically qualify for monthly cash prize draws, with rewards ranging from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000.

It’s an easy way to earn while supporting a cleaner economy.

How to Participate:

To become eligible, follow these simple steps:

  • Shop from Authorized Retailers: Make purchases only from tier-1 outlets and eateries that are integrated into the FBR’s POS system.

  • Look for the QR Code: Always check if the receipt contains a QR code. This confirms the transaction is registered with FBR.

  • Verify via Tax Asaan App: Download the ‘Tax Asaan’ mobile application and scan the QR code on your receipt to validate its authenticity.

  • Say No to Manual Receipts: Avoid accepting plain or handwritten bills, as they are not traceable and won’t make you eligible for the reward.

  • Report Suspicious Invoices: If you receive a fake or suspicious receipt, capture a clear image of it along with the business name and location, and submit it through the Tax Asaan app.
