Islamabad, Sep 7:  Releasing new detection tools, YouTube is stepping up its attempts to combat the growing menace of AI-generated deepfakes.

With the intention of reducing deception and false information on the platform, these innovations will notify producers and distributors whenever their image or voice appears in another video.

Deepfakes have been using computer-generated images of artists and politicians more frequently as the use of generative AI has increased.

In response, YouTube has created “synthetic-singing identification technology” that enables publishers and producers to identify and control artificial intelligence (AI)-generated video that mimics their vocals.
