Islamabad, Aug 29: With the overwhelming success of its KPK Regionals, co-hosted by the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI), the Directorate General of Science and Technology, and The Catalyst, Zindigi Prize, Pakistan’s largest entrepreneurship competition, celebrated yet another milestone.
An amazing opening ceremony showcasing the creative ideas of young entrepreneurs from the KPK region kicked off the three-day event. The program was enhanced by lively speed dating, thought-provoking speeches by well-known Pakistani businesspeople, and interesting workshops. More than eighty-five shortlisted startups from all throughout the region showcased their innovative concepts at the grand finale.
Following a thorough assessment, the judges at the KPK Regionals, which were sponsored by GIKI, named Cosmosys from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST) the winner of the Zindigi Prize. Tahr-un-Nisa from Fatima Jinnah Women University and Visuar Solutions from Air University took first and second place, respectively.
“We are passionate about giving back to society, and the Zindigi Prize enables us to fulfill that commitment by empowering our most valuable assets—Gen Z and millennials,” said Adeel Hijazi, Chief Marketing Officer of Zindigi, expressing his excitement for the occasion. The Zindigi Prize has grown to be Pakistan’s biggest forum for entrepreneurs.

The Chief Guest of the ceremony, Sajid Shah, the Director General of the Directorate of Science and Technology, KPK, said, “Our region’s startup scene has been greatly influenced by the Zindigi Prize on a constant basis.
We are delighted to support this effort and its extensive effects as a government institution. We are also excited to provide more funds for these firms’ commercialization so that we can spread their beneficial influence throughout other parts of KPK. By working together, we can keep promoting innovation and progress throughout the province.
