ISLAMABAD, AUGUST 20: With the announcement of a major enhancement to its webinar features, Zoom can now host up to one million attendees at once. This statement follows the platform’s rising acceptance among political groups—especially those soliciting money for the campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris.

Large-scale virtual events are in demand, as seen by the hundreds of thousands of people that these groups have successfully hosted calls with. In response to the increasing demand for large-scale virtual meetings, Zoom has implemented a tier-based webinar package system. A variety of maximum capacities are now available to customers, including 10,000, 50,000, 100,000, 250,000, 500,000, and the recently added maximum of one million people.

These products are made to be one-time webinar bundles, giving large-scale event planners flexibility. Significantly, Zoom’s Event Services team provides committed support for these high-capacity webinar packages.

Zoom’s chief product officer, Smita Hashim, stated: “In addition to the ability to buy large single-use webinars, event organizers now have the flexibility and power to host truly interactive experiences on an unprecedented scale.”

The organization believes that these large-scale virtual events will become typical in a number of industries, including as public spaces, entertainment, and business. Celebrities and entertainers, for example, might use these improved webinar features to hold virtual fan meet-and-greets and other interactive events, according to Zoom.
