Islamabad, Feb 10: Saudi Arabia’s renowned fast-food chain, Albaik, is gearing up to launch its outlets in major Pakistani cities, marking a significant expansion move. This was confirmed by Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan during his visit to Jeddah, where he met with Albaik’s management and Pakistani employees. The brand is now in the final stages of entering Pakistan after signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU), signaling a new chapter in the country’s fast-food industry.
The announcement was made during the inaugural ‘Made in Pakistan’ exhibition, where discussions centered around business collaborations, investment potential, and the entry of Saudi brands into the Pakistani market. Albaik’s arrival is expected to generate employment opportunities while also strengthening trade and economic ties between the two nations.

Minister Jam Kamal Khan acknowledged the valuable contributions of Pakistani workers to Saudi enterprises and emphasized the positive impact Albaik’s presence could have on Pakistan’s fast-food sector. He highlighted how this expansion aligns with Pakistan’s growing consumer market and changing dining trends.
Additionally, the minister held discussions with prominent Saudi business leaders, urging them to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan. Key sectors identified for collaboration include energy, agriculture, IT, healthcare, infrastructure, and consumer goods. He also pointed out Pakistan’s impressive 22% export growth to Saudi Arabia, which now stands at $700 million. To attract foreign investors, he assured them of a conducive business environment with tax incentives and legal protections.
Saudi investors have shown keen interest in Pakistan’s construction materials, textile, and food industries, indicating potential long-term economic partnerships. With Albaik’s expansion and increasing Saudi investments, the collaboration between the two nations is set to deepen, benefiting both economies.
