Islamabad, JULY26: Islamabad: Federal Minister for Communications, Privatization, and Board of Investment (BOI) Abdul Aleem Khan was given a thorough briefing on the road projects included in the Gilgit Package.

A thorough discussion of the “Gilgit Package,” which consists of road projects linking Gilgit to Shandoor, Mansehra, Chitral, and other locations, was part of the conference, according to the details. Aleem Khan pointed out that increasing amenities and security on these roads would draw more visitors and travelers.

Aleem Khan emphasized that the Gilgit-Khunjerab Motorway, which would give vital access to China and Central Asia, might be a “Game Changer.” Additionally, he emphasized the necessity of strong land connectivity to Gwadar via rail and road.

The minister ordered the NHA chairman to designate responsible and capable officers to supervise the projects and insisted on upholding strict building standards. He made the argument that government agencies need to concentrate on increasing their revenue; simply spending money is insufficient.

Aleem Khan urged NHA executives to leverage their experience in creating global project models in order to boost the organization’s yearly revenue. Aleem Khan emphasized the importance of the Gilgit-Khunjrab Motorway and its connection to Gwadar when speaking about the infrastructure in the northern area.

It was revealed that NHA would get an extra 23 billion rupees this year for the construction and management of new toll plazas. Significant decisions pertaining to NHA projects spanning the four provinces were also made as a result of the meeting.
