Islamabad, Dec 10: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony reported that all 79,000 pilgrims who applied by December 10th were accepted. The government has also made the decision to accept applications on a first-come, first-served basis for the few slots that remain.
Muhammad Umar Butt, the ministry’s spokesperson, reported that during the one-week delay, more than 10,000 fresh applications were received.

He stated that the ministry has chosen to keep taking applications for the few seats that are still available under the first-come, first-served principle in response to the demand from pilgrims.
“The ministry will announce the closure of applications once the Hajj quota is filled,” he said. According to Umar Butt, the ministry has encouraged new candidates to make sure they receive a computerized receipt from the appropriate bank when they submit their applications. He also stated that the date and time on the receipt will determine how many seats are available.
According to him, there would still be a first-come, first-served policy for the Sponsorship Hajj Scheme. He stated that the ministry will release the date for the second installment of Hajj dues following the fulfillment of the government quota.
The spokesperson also encouraged pilgrims to stay informed about crucial instructions, such as the flight details, training program, and payment schedule, by using the Pak Hajj Mobile App on their devices. According to him, the ministry’s proactive efforts are intended to maximize applicant facilitation and expedite the Hajj procedure.
