Islamabad, 26 Apr, 2025: Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore has refuted online rumours about a fire breaking out on its premises, clarifying that flight operations remain fully functional and uninterrupted.

On April 26, 2025, false claims began circulating across social media platforms alleging that a blaze had occurred at the airport, leading to the suspension of all domestic and international flights.

However, authorities swiftly addressed these reports, stating that no such event had taken place and operations were proceeding as usual.

Airport management, while speaking through official channels, assured travellers and the general public that the terminal remained safe and secure.

They urged individuals not to rely on unverified messages or unofficial sources, as doing so could lead to unnecessary confusion and panic among passengers.

A representative from the Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that Allama Iqbal International Airport had not experienced any emergency situation, and flight schedules had continued without any disruptions.

No alerts had been issued, nor were there any evacuations or fire incidents reported by security personnel or firefighting teams stationed at the facility.

Officials emphasised the importance of verifying travel updates through trusted sources such as airline websites, airport helpdesks, or government advisories.
