Islamabad, 29 April 2025: The cult comedy Andaz Apna Apna, which returned to cinemas on April 25, 2025, is maintaining a modest yet steady presence at the box office.

Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and starring a legendary cast, the 1994 classic has seen steady attendance in its re-release.

On Day 5, early estimates suggest a slight uptick in collections, aided by discounted Tuesday ticket prices at PVR Inox cinemas, where rates drop to Rs 99–149.

This initiative has continued to attract nostalgia-driven audiences and newer fans curious about the film’s legacy.

The film earned approximately Rs 15 lakh on its first Monday and has accumulated a total of Rs 1.3 crore over four days.

While these figures are respectable for a re-release, they fall short of the re-run success seen with other titles like Laila Majnu and Sanam Teri Kasam.

Both films gained traction the second time around despite being overlooked in their original runs.

Andaz Apna Apna faced competition from newly released action-drama Ground Zero, as well as Jaat and Kesari Chapter 2.

Further box office challenges await with Raid 2 and The Bhootnii entering cinemas on May 1.

The film, known for its memorable dialogues, eccentric characters, and a timeless sense of humour, also includes brief appearances by Juhi Chawla and Govinda.

Though a flop in 1994, it gained cult status over time through TV and home video, becoming a beloved Hindi comedy.

With positive word-of-mouth and a loyal fanbase, Andaz Apna Apna continues its nostalgic journey on the big screen.

As audience interest endures, all eyes remain on how far the film can go in its revived theatrical run.
