Islamabad, Aug 3: The chief minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, gave the order on Tuesday to create an efficient system that would guarantee that teachers are appointed on the basis of merit in order to stop the disgusting practice of job selling. As the meeting about the education department’s reforms and teacher appointments was being presided over, he delivered this directive.

Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan of Balochistan, Provincial Education Minister Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, and other relevant officials attended the meeting. The decisions made during the meeting included hiring instructors to fill open positions in shuttered schools, granting appointment contracts and extensions based on performance, and creating legislation that would effectively govern contract policies.

The chief minister of Balochistan gave the decision during the meeting that the court orders should be followed and the Sardar Bahadur Khan Woman’s University “SBKWU” test be deemed final. He declared that no jobs would be auctioned and that appointments would be made solely on the basis of merit, adding that the advancement of the education sector depended on its application.In order to ensure good governance, he said, the current provincial government was implementing concrete steps to enhance the performance of all ministries linked to the government.
