Islamabad – May 4, 2025: Bangladesh has dismissed media speculation suggesting India may cancel its scheduled tour of Bangladesh in August due to political tensions in the region.
Indian news outlets had earlier claimed that BCCI was reconsidering the white-ball series, citing rising regional tensions and potential security concerns.
A report in the media quoted a source who claimed the tour’s future remained uncertain, hinting at a possible withdrawal from both the ODI and T20I matches.
However, BCB officials remain confident that the series will proceed as planned.

The T20I series will start on August 26 in Chattogram, followed by matches in Dhaka on August 29 and 31.

Iqbal Stadium, recently used for domestic events, will host the first two matches, with Bangladesh arriving on May 21 and beginning training a day later.
The BCB continues to maintain that all upcoming fixtures, including the India series, are proceeding as planned.
