Islamabad – May 4, 2025: Quetta Gladiators climbed to the top of PSL 10 table after securing a nail-biting two-wicket win over Islamabad United in Lahore.
Batting first, Islamabad posted 157 for 9 in their 20 overs, with Mohammad Nawaz playing a brisk knock of 49 off 34 balls that included one four and five sixes.
Openers Sahibzada Farhan and Kyle Mayers also made useful contributions, scoring 39 and 22 runs respectively.
The Gladiators’ bowlers shared the workload well. Faheem Ashraf was the pick of the lot, returning figures of 4 for 25 in three overs.

He was assisted by Khurram Shahzad, Abrar Ahmed, Saud Shakeel, and Kyle Jamieson, each picking up a wicket.
In reply, Quetta chased down the target in a tense finish, winning on the second last ball of the match.
Unbeaten 64 off 41 balls from Hasan Nawaz capped with a last-over six, sealed the win for Quetta.
Rilee Rossouw’s steady 27 and Mohammad Wasim Jr’s crucial 16 added valuable support in the run chase.
This win propelled Quetta Gladiators to the top of the table with 11 points from eight matches, pushing Islamabad United to second.
In the current standings, Lahore Qalandars sit in third with nine points, just ahead of Karachi Kings, who are fourth with eight points from seven games.

Peshawar Zalmi, led by Babar Azam, remain fifth with six points. Meanwhile, Multan Sultans are officially out of the playoff race, managing just one win in eight matches.
