Islamabad, Mar 24, 2025: The Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has strictly prohibited the sharing of past Matric and Intermediate exam papers on social media.

This decision aims to curb unauthorized distribution and ensure the integrity of the examination system.

In an official notice, the Controller of Examinations has informed educational institutions about this restriction.

The notification states that past papers and guess papers are being widely circulated in WhatsApp groups and other digital platforms, often by schoolteachers from both public and private sectors.

To tackle this issue, BISE Lahore has announced severe legal consequences for violators.

Individuals caught sharing old exam papers online will face legal action under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA). The penalties include imprisonment for up to three years and a fine of Rs50,000.

The board has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a fair examination process.

Authorities have warned that strict monitoring will be implemented to detect and penalize those violating the new policy.

Schools, teachers, and students are urged to comply with these regulations to avoid legal repercussions.
