Islamabad, Mar 23, 2025: A group of Palestinian students has reached Karachi from war-torn Gaza to pursue their education, as academic institutions in their homeland remain in ruins.

According to reports, seven students have already arrived, while another batch is expected in the coming days.

These students will be enrolled in various universities and colleges across Karachi to continue their studies without disruption.

Al-Khidmat Foundation, a well-known welfare organization, has taken full responsibility for their education and living expenses, ensuring they receive the necessary support.

With Gaza’s educational infrastructure severely damaged, Pakistan has stepped forward to provide these students with an opportunity to fulfill their academic dreams.

This initiative follows a similar effort last year when 27 Palestinian medical students arrived in Lahore to resume their studies.

However, they traveled via an international airline from Istanbul and were placed under strict security measures upon arrival.

Additionally, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has granted special approval for medical and dental students from Gaza to complete their education in Pakistan.

This decision was made in response to a request from the Pakistani High Commissioner in London.

The PMDC president has stated that nearly 100 students from Gaza are expected to arrive in Pakistan under this initiative.

They will be placed in various medical and dental institutions, with a dedicated committee ensuring their smooth transition and academic success.

This effort highlights Pakistan’s commitment to supporting Palestine and providing young students with a chance to secure a brighter future despite the hardships they face in their homeland.
