Islamabad, Apr 6, 2025: Karachi residents will continue to endure the intense heat as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted temperatures in the city could climb to 39°C today (Sunday).

The Met Office reports that sea breezes are expected to be absent throughout the day, resulting in harsh sunlight and dry, sweltering winds sweeping across Karachi.

However, the situation is expected to improve by the evening with the return of sea breezes, offering some relief from the heat.

However, At night, the lowest recorded temperature in Karachi was 25.7°C, with the current humidity level at 64%, as per the department’s report.

Across the nation, hot and dry weather is anticipated in most regions over the next twelve hours.

The morning temperatures for key cities are Islamabad and Muzaffarabad 14°C, Lahore 22°C, Karachi 27°C, Peshawar 18°C, Quetta 15°C, Gilgit 10°C, and Murree 9°C.

Although, In Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, dry conditions are expected in Srinagar, Jammu, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, with colder, dry weather in Leh.

However, the morning temperatures for these locations were as follows: Srinagar, Pulwama, and Baramula 8°C, Jammu 17°C, Leh -2°C, and Anantnag and Shopian 7°C.
