Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Chairperson Rubina Khalid has declared intentions to grow the program. The Wasila Rozgar program, a new project intended to give women the skills they need to better their employment prospects, will be part of the expansion. She told reporters in Lahore that 9.5 million families are presently receiving assistance from BISP. She emphasized that the late Benazir Bhutto had devised the program’s features and that she had first conceived of it during her exile.

She continued, “The program still goes by its original name despite attempts to rename it by the previous government.”She went on to say that in order to maintain integrity and transparency in the payment process, BISP monies are only removed after biometric verification. The head of the BISP gave his word that complete transparency is upheld throughout the system.

Every two years, according to Rubina Khalid, BISP updates its statistics to make sure that participants who have risen above the federal poverty level are kicked out of the program.
She confirmed that 8,171 is the program’s official messaging center and that no other numbers are connected to it.

In response to criticisms regarding commission fees, she stated that a payment plan existed with one bank. The program intends to collaborate with six more institutions to solve these concerns in response to complaints.
