Islamabad, Mar 26, 2025:  The Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has directed officials to prepare the PC-1 for an ambitious cable car and chairlift project connecting Daman-e-Koh to Saidpur.

This initiative aims to enhance Islamabad’s tourism appeal while generating substantial revenue for the city’s economic growth.

In a high-level meeting attended by members from the Planning, Finance, and Environment departments, along with a delegation of Chinese consultants, Randhawa emphasized the project’s significance.

He emphasized the need for a detailed feasibility study and a thorough safety assessment, ensuring that the team meticulously structures the PC-1 for smooth execution.

The Chinese delegates commended the vision behind the project and assured technical support to facilitate its implementation.

Beyond tourism, Randhawa focused on urban development, particularly in Sector E-12.

He announced that they would hand over developed plots in this sector to owners after Eidul Fitr, provided they clear all dues.

Additionally, Randhawa set a firm deadline for the completion of infrastructure in Sector C-14, instructing the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) to ensure electricity provision.

He mandated that authorities should grant plot possession in this sector only upon the final payment, ensuring a transparent and efficient process.

To further expedite urban expansion, he ordered swift development work in E-12 and other new sectors after Eid, resolving any obstacles that might hinder progress.

The chairman also addressed concerns regarding Sector I-12, calling for immediate cleanup of its central areas and the completion of pending projects.

Meanwhile, the progress in Sectors C-15 and C-16 was reviewed, with Randhawa committing to personally visit the sites to oversee issue resolution and ensure timely development.

This strategic approach by the CDA aims to transform Islamabad’s infrastructure while positioning the city as a prime tourist destination.

By prioritizing modern attractions like the cable car and chairlift, alongside fast-tracking residential sector developments, the initiative promises long-term economic benefits and an improved quality of life for residents.
