Islamabad, Aug 4: The Glade Vista Residence layout plan, which was set for 63 Kanals of apartments on the Murree Road Expressway in Zone-IV Islamabad, has been formally revoked by the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
Glade Vista Builders (Pvt) Limited, the project’s sponsor, did not complete the necessary terms and conditions as stipulated by the authority.According to clause 26 of the Revised Modalities & Procedures (2020) for Vertical Apartments, the layout plan was first approved. Nonetheless, on February 7, March 6, March 27, and May 2, 2024, Glade Vista Builders received several notices from CDA requesting that the business adhere to the permitted provisions. The builders were given numerous warnings and a show-cause notice requiring compliance within 15 days, but they failed to comply with the requirements.
The CDA cited unlicensed sale-purchase operations and unlawful and unauthorized marketing as major infractions. In a final warning, the agency threatened to cancel the layout design and start ex-parte procedures if no response was received. The CDA went ahead and cancelled as of May 2, 2024, after Glade Vista Builders failed to provide an answer that was satisfactory.
The CDA has cautioned the public not to invest in the project until all legal requirements have been met in a public notice. Additionally, the authority ordered the owners to cease any illegal work on the property right away until the project fully conforms with CDA laws.
