Islamabad/Karachi, 25 Apr , 2025: Celebrating Pakistani Brands took centre stage at the 15th edition of the Brand of the Year Awards, where over 150 businesses were honoured for winning public trust and market leadership.

Organised by the Brands Foundation, the prestigious ceremony was held in Karachi, drawing prominent figures from the political and business spectrum.

The awards evening acknowledged the remarkable achievements of firms across diverse sectors that have made significant contributions to Pakistan’s economy.

Among the high-profile attendees were Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah and Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani, both present as chief guests.

The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) President Atif Ikram Sheikh also graced the event as guest of honour.

Senior industry leaders including Karachi Chamber of Commerce President Javed Balwani, Member of National Assembly Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, and former Trade Development Authority of Pakistan head Zubair Motiwala were also in attendance.

In recognition of their lasting contributions to business and trade, both Atif Ikram Sheikh and Zubair Motiwala were awarded the prestigious “Nation’s Pride of Pakistan Gold Medals.”

A major highlight of the evening was the official unveiling of “AI Guard”, Pakistan’s first AI-based security solution, developed by homegrown tech company iMagine AI.

The launch signified a promising leap forward for the country’s emerging artificial intelligence landscape.

Shaikh Rashid Alam, Founder and CEO of the Brands Foundation, addressed the audience, reflecting on the platform’s 17-year journey.

He noted that leaders from the highest levels of government have historically supported the event, which continues to promote the strategic importance of brand-driven growth in modern economies.

“In today’s world, global giants dominate through brand equity and intellectual capital. Pakistan must also invest in building strong, competitive brands to stand out internationally,” Alam stated.

Awards were distributed across several categories, such as Brand Icon, Fastest Growing Brand, Emerging Brand, CEO of the Year, and Best Export Performer.

The glitzy affair was further enlivened by the presence of television personalities, including Wasim Badami, beauty industry figure Kashif Aslam of Kashee’s, and culinary expert Chef Gulzar.

Celebrating Pakistani Brands was more than just a recognition ceremony  it served as a powerful reminder of the role strong local brands play in elevating national identity and fuelling sustainable economic progress.
