Islamabad, Oct 28: Citizenship Granted, 85 Foreigners Receive Middle Eastern Nationality. In a major shift in the country’s residency and integration laws, Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has issued a royal proclamation formally awarding Omani citizenship to a group of foreigners.

85 people have been granted Omani citizenship as a result of Royal Decree No. 50/2024, which was issued under Sultan Haitham’s rule. By giving long-term residents the chance to become full citizens, this edict not only demonstrates Oman’s appreciation of the contributions made by foreigners but also the nation’s strategy for promoting a more diverse and inclusive society.

Professionals and individuals who have shown a dedication to Oman via their consistent contributions and congruence with the country’s ideals and objectives are among the recipients of this decree.

By granting citizenship, the Sultanate promotes a stronger sense of community and belonging among long-term residents while also acknowledging the contribution expatriates make to its social and economic advancement.

Oman’s continuous efforts to strike a delicate balance between history and modernity are reflected in Royal Decree No. 50/2024, which honors people who have helped the country flourish and extends an invitation to them to join the Omani community as official members. This momentous decision is in line with the overarching goal of fostering diversity and cross-cultural cooperation in order to improve Oman’s internal cohesion and fortify its international links.
