Islamabad, Sep 26: A “historic” graduate internship program in agriculture has been introduced by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who is providing a monthly stipend of Rs 60,000 to 1,000 graduates. On Wednesday, during a ceremony at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, she gave appointment letters to the chosen graduates.

The chief minister emphasized in her address that 95% of her cabinet’s ministers are young. She stressed that not a single job in Punjab has been given out without due process while she has been in charge.

Maryam Nawaz added that no other administration had unveiled a package akin to the Kisan Package. She declared that Kisan Cards, which will be activated on October 15, have been sent to 50,000 farmers.

She later pledged to construct an IT city, a safari park, and a metro bus project for Faisalabad during a meeting with local PML-N leaders and ticket holders at the Commissioner’s Office. She was also given a thorough briefing on current initiatives pertaining to municipal services, roads, health, and education, as well as the state of peace and order in the Faisalabad division.

She gave the Secretary of Communications and Works phone instructions to upgrade the Faisalabad-Sheikhupura road during the meeting.
