Islamabad, Aug 3: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has revealed the specifics of the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” program, a significant housing initiative designed to assist people in becoming home owners without having to pay hidden interest. According to specifics, the program will be carried out in three stages, catering to various housing requirements around the province:

Loan Specifics:
In rural areas: a monthly payment of PKR 14,000 is required for houses up to 10 marlas, up to PKR 1.5 million.

Urban Areas: Up to PKR 1.5 million with a monthly payment of PKR 14,000 for homes up to 5 marlas.

Major Cities: Easy installment plans are available for loans for four-story apartments, with precise details to be revealed.

Principal Elements of the Plan:
1.Working together with private developers to construct residences between three and five marlas is known as a partnership with private housing schemes.

2. Government Subsidies: To make homeownership more accessible and affordable, up to PKR 1 million per house is available.

3. The intended beneficiaries are Punjab’s low-income citizens.

Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister, met with Dr. Amjad Saqib, the founder and chairman of the Akhuwat Foundation, to express gratitude for her effort. CM Nawaz emphasized that the program is currently in place in a few districts and will gradually grow every year. Maryam Nawaz declared, “We are dedicated to granting low-income families access to affordable housing and realizing their dream of home ownership.” One of Pakistan’s biggest and most economical residential projects is what the program seeks to be.
