Islamabad, Jan 21: The departure of the rain-bearing system from Pakistan has marked a significant shift in the weather pattern across the region. With the system’s exit, dry conditions are anticipated to prevail, particularly affecting areas like Punjab, including its bustling capital, Lahore.

This change in weather is likely to bring about a noticeable increase in both daytime and nighttime temperatures, enhancing the winter’s chill.

Meteorologists confirm that the system’s movement out of the region will not only restore dry weather but also amplify the cold.

In Lahore, the mercury recently dipped to 7°C, but daytime temperatures are expected to rise to 20°C.

Such fluctuations are typical following the dispersal of a rain-bearing system, as the clearing skies allow for more pronounced diurnal temperature variations.

Dry weather will reduce visibility in Punjab, likely causing intensified fog in the early hours.

This fog, while a common seasonal feature, could pose challenges for morning commuters and disrupt early day activities.

It’s important for residents to stay informed about weather updates as these foggy conditions can lead to reduced visibility, affecting both travel and outdoor activities.

While Punjab braces for dryer and colder days, the situation is slightly different in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Here, most districts are currently experiencing cloudy skies, with sporadic rainfall enhancing the cold. The higher elevations are even expecting snowfall, which could blanket the mountainous landscapes in white, offering scenic views yet posing challenges for those residing in these areas.

This contrast in weather patterns across Pakistan highlights the diverse climatic conditions within the country, impacting daily lives and seasonal activities. As we move further into the winter months, it is crucial for residents to adapt to these changing conditions, ensuring safety and comfort amidst the cold and dry weather.
