Lahore Commissioner Zaid Bin Maqsood stressed the need of using Safe City cameras on Thursday to spot unlawful parking and traffic congestion. He expressed his opinions at a traffic flow meeting he led in Lahore. DG PHA Tahir Wattoo, DC Lahore Rafia Haider, CEO LWMC Babar Sahib Din, MD WASA Ghafran Ahmed, Chief Engineer Tepa Iqar Hussain, and officers from the Punjab Safe City Authority were among the attendees. DG LDA Tahir Farooq was also present.

Tepa was given instructions by Commissioner Maqsood to launch a campaign to increase public knowledge of traffic laws as well as to inspect and adjust lane markings at traffic lights as necessary. He emphasized that following traffic laws is a sign of a civilized country.

He said that in order to help the people of Punjab, the Chief Minister is putting into practice concrete measures in accordance with detailed traffic intervention directives. By removing encroachments at various locations through cooperative operations, traffic education, and modifications to road and signal designs, traffic flow has improved.

He emphasized the significance of having a plan for continuous awareness.The Joint Committee has identified a number of choke points, the Commissioner added, and parking in specified zones of commercial buildings is imperative.
