Islamabad, Dec 25: Authorities in Punjab have closed several sections of motorways M-2, M-3, and M-4 due to dense fog, which has drastically reduced visibility. The closures have been enforced to ensure the safety of travelers.
Motorway M-2 is shut from Thokar Niaz Beg to Kala Shah Kaku Interchange, as well as between Kot Momin and Lillah Interchange. Additionally, the section from Thokar Niaz Beg to Babu Sabu is also closed. Motorway M-3 has been closed from Samundri to Darkhana, and the stretch from Pindi Bhattian to Multan is also experiencing disruptions due to poor visibility.
The decision to close these routes was taken with the public’s safety in mind, as driving conditions have become hazardous under the dense fog. Motorway police have urged travelers to plan their trips during daylight hours, suggesting that travel between 10 am and 6 pm would be safer. This advisory aims to prevent accidents and ensure smooth traffic flow on the affected routes.
