Islamabad, Mar 10, 2025: Digitt+, a prominent Electronic Money Institution, has teamed up with Barq PK to enhance digital payment solutions within Pakistan.

This collaboration allows Barq Holdings to integrate financial transactions into its platform using Digitt+’s open API framework.

Through this initiative, Barq Fintech Pvt Limited (formerly MYTM Pvt Ltd Pakistan) will utilize Digitt+’s infrastructure to offer seamless payment experiences to users in Pakistan.

The partnership was formalized at the Leap Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the agreement signed by Ahmed Saleemi, CEO of Digitt+, and Mansoor Chaudhry, CEO of Barq PK, in the presence of Ahmed Alenazi, a key representative of Barq Holding.

Senior executives from both organizations attended the event, including Hamza Rizwan (Head of Business & Strategy, Digitt+), Hassan Farooq (Head of Risk & Compliance, Digitt+), Hassan Wasti (Head of Cards, Digitt+), and Assadullah Bashir (Head of Merchants & Corporate Solutions, Digitt+).

With Digitt+’s Wallet-as-a-Service (WaaS) model, Barq PK users will have access to a fully integrated mobile wallet, enabling instant money transfers, digital payments, mobile top-ups, and card issuance.

This strategic alliance aims to simplify financial transactions while promoting financial inclusion by embedding payment functionalities directly into the Barq PK ecosystem.

Beyond domestic transactions, this partnership will also facilitate remittances for overseas Pakistanis residing in Saudi Arabia.

By offering a streamlined mechanism for fund transfers, it ensures that families in Pakistan receive money securely and efficiently.

However, this marks Digitt+’s third successful deployment of its WaaS solution, reinforcing its expertise in fintech innovation across Pakistan.

Unlike full-scale Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) models, which include lending and deposit features, WaaS focuses exclusively on digital payments and wallets.

This enables businesses to launch financial services without the complexities of traditional banking infrastructure.

Previous WaaS implementations by Digitt+ have helped companies expand swiftly in the digital payment sector.

Ahmed Alenazi, CEO of Barq Group, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “Bringing Barq to Pakistan aligns with our vision of fostering financial inclusion.

Our experience in Saudi Arabia has equipped us with the expertise to provide exceptional financial services tailored to the Pakistani market.”

Ahmed Saleemi, CEO of Digitt+, highlighted the significance of the collaboration, saying, “This partnership is another step toward revolutionizing embedded payments in Pakistan.

Our Wallet-as-a-Service model and Open API framework empower businesses like Barq PK to integrate secure, banking-grade financial solutions without complex infrastructure requirements.”

Mansoor Chaudhry, CEO of Barq PK, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to innovation and financial accessibility, stating, “Barq’s success in Saudi Arabia has been driven by cutting-edge financial solutions, and we are eager to replicate that success in Pakistan.

With Digitt+’s technology, we aim to deliver seamless financial services that enhance user convenience and inclusion.”

Digitt+ remains at the forefront of Pakistan’s embedded payments revolution, offering over 100 Open APIs that power fintech startups, enterprises, and digital businesses across the country.

By providing scalable, ready-to-launch financial solutions, Digitt+ continues to shape the future of digital payments and financial accessibility in Pakistan.
