Islamabad, Oct 22: England Makes Two Changes for Third Test Against Pakistan
The starting lineup for England’s final test match against Pakistan in Rawalpindi has been revealed. Brydon Carse and Matthew Potts have been rested for the final, marking two changes to England’s lineup.
In an attempt to counter Pakistan on a surface that is predicted to turn, the visitors have chosen to include Rehan Ahmed in a spin assault that already included Shoaib Bashir and Jack Leach.
Rehan will be participating in just his fifth Test match at the age of twenty. Two years ago, he made his debut in Karachi, where he made a big impression by taking five wickets in Pakistan’s second innings and assisting England in sweeping the series 3-0.
However, he had a less successful last game against India at Rajkot, when he took three wickets for 193 runs in two innings as England suffered a crushing defeat.
Ben Stokes will be available to bowl when necessary, leaving Gus Atkinson as the team’s lone seamer.
This time around, ground crews are likely to use industrial fans, patio heaters, and rakes to try to dry off and roughen the pitch on the Rawalpindi surface, which is often one of the flattest in all of cricket.
The third Test match between England and Pakistan, who are now knotted at one, is expected to be an exciting contest as both teams want to win the series with spin-heavy bowling attacks.
