Despite Pakistan’s victory against Canada in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024, fans feel that the team missed the opportunity to boost their Net Run Rate (NRR).

The Green Shirts secured a seven-wicket win over Canada at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York, chasing down the 107-run target in the eighteenth over.

Mohammad Rizwan contributed 53 runs off 53 balls, while captain Babar Azam scored 33 runs off 33 balls. However, fans criticized both players for not showing urgency to increase the team’s net run-rate, which could be crucial in the later stages of the tournament.

“Successfully bottled the best chance of improving NRR. What a pair,” expressed one user regarding Rizwan and Babar’s innings.

Another user expressed frustration, stating, “Another day of Babar not finishing well, another day of Fakhar (Tuller) getting exposed, another to prove Shadab is not a bowler, nor a batsman neither an all-rounder.”
