Former Indian cricketer S Sreesanth has expressed his preference for seeing the United States team over Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 round.
Despite Pakistan’s recent struggles in the tournament, Sreesanth believes their chances of making it to the Super 8 remain challenging due to systemic issues within their cricketing setup, echoing sentiments shared by cricketing legends like Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis.
Sreesanth emphasized the need for Pakistan to revamp their domestic leagues and overall system to improve their performance. In contrast, he commended the United States team for their planning and execution over the past two years, expressing his desire to see them qualify for the Super 8 based on their hard work and performance.
While acknowledging the tough road ahead for Pakistan, Sreesanth believes their qualification is not impossible.
