Islamabad, Jan 6: Thomas Felder, the German Second Secretary, was found dead at his residence in Karakoram Heights, located within Islamabad’s Diplomatic Enclave. According to local police reports, preliminary investigations suggest that Felder, who had a history of heart-related issues, most likely died of natural causes.
Felder had been absent from work at the German Embassy on the day of his death. Reports indicate that he had recently sought treatment at Kulsoom Hospital. When he could not be reached by phone, the embassy sent a driver to check on him. Upon arriving at the residence, the driver found the apartment locked from the inside, prompting embassy officials to call in the police for assistance.
Duty Officer Irshad and SHO Ashfaq responded to the scene, but by the time they arrived, embassy staff had already forced open the door and discovered Felder unresponsive. At the request of the embassy, police were not allowed to take photographs or proceed with further actions at the scene. Instead, a doctor was called to examine the body.
The police have transported the body for an autopsy to confirm the cause of death. Senior officials, including SSP Diplomatic Enclave Zeeshan Haider, were present to oversee the situation. The investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
