Islamabad, 26 March 2025: Pakistan’s young batter, Hasan Nawaz, has set an unfortunate record during the fifth T20I against New Zealand at Sky Stadium in Wellington.
The hard-hitting opening batter was dismissed for a third duck in the series, making him the Pakistani opener with the most ducks in a single T20I series.
The right-handed batter, who made his international debut in the first match of the series on March 16, has experienced an inconsistent start in T20I cricket.
The 22-year-old was dismissed without scoring in his first two matches, joining an exclusive yet undesirable list of batters who started their careers with consecutive ducks.

Despite his initial struggles, the stylish batter delivered a stunning comeback in the third T20I, smashing a century off just 44 balls.
His explosive innings played a crucial role in Pakistan’s dominant nine-wicket victory, demonstrating his potential as a power hitter.
However, Nawaz’s inconsistency continued. He managed just one run in the fourth T20I and failed again in the series finale, falling for a three-ball duck to Jacob Duffy in the second over.
His third duck in the series surpassed previous records held by Pakistani openers, including Shahzaib Hasan, Mohammad Hafeez, and Mohammad Rizwan.
