Islamabad, Sep 5: The Planning & Development Division and the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) of the Higher Education Commission collaborated to organize a training course on the Intelligent Project Automation System (iPAS). According to a news release on Thursday, the goal of the workshop was to increase the ability of HEC staff members to use iPAS for better project management and automation in the public sector.

The Ministry of Planning Development & Special Initiatives introduced iPAS, a web-based tool that streamlines the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), tracks project progress both financially and physically, automates releases, permits online PC-I submission, and supports fund management functions such as re-appropriations and supplemental grants to benefit all development portfolio stakeholders.

Throughout the project life-cycle, the system minimizes information gaps amongst all stakeholders, automates manual operations, and maximizes financial efficiency to improve management effectiveness and facilitate project work. In addition to streamlining procedures, the iPAS promotes strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, and teamwork.

Ms. Noor Amna Malik, Managing Director NAHE, emphasized in her opening remarks the need of adopting cutting-edge technologies to stay competitive. She urged everyone to participate fully and think about how they may use these tools in their own work.

Leading the sessions as subject matter experts, Mr. Shadab Anjum, Joint Director of iPAS, Mr. Zafar Iqbal, Deputy Director of iPAS, and Ms. Bushra Illahi, Assistant Director of iPAS, gave comprehensive instruction on all of iPAS’s features.

Interactive talks, real-world examples, and practical exercises were held with the participants to highlight the system’s ability to completely transform project management procedures.
The university project staff will also participate in similar iPAS seminars.
