Islamabad, Apr 28, 2025: India is anticipated to incur trade losses nearing $1.14 billion due to the ban on utilizing Pakistani land for trade activities, as per the Pakistan Business Forum (PBF).

From April 2024 to January 2025, India’s exports to Pakistan amounted to approximately $500 million, while imports from India were only about $0.42 million.

Additionally, goods valued at roughly $640 million per year, passing through Pakistan en route to Afghanistan, are set to face significant disruption.

The business forum expressed unwavering support for government efforts aimed at addressing Indian provocations, calling for national solidarity.

It condemned India’s habitual tendency to blame Pakistan, especially after the Pahalgam incident.

The PBF has urged a total halt to trade ties with India until disputes are resolved through mutual respect and fairness.

They also condemned India’s move to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty, labeling it detrimental to regional stability.

The forum underscored the importance of unity, perseverance, and prioritizing national interests amidst the growing tensions.
