India’s leading sports streaming platform, Fancode, has suddenly suspended its live coverage of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) following a deadly attack in Pahalgam, a town in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, Indian media reported on Thursday.
The platform, which had been broadcasting the 10th season of the PSL as its exclusive digital partner in India, had aired 13 matches before pulling the plug on all live and archived content. In addition to stopping the live feed, Fancode has also taken down match highlights and related videos from its digital platforms.
Indian media sources, including Hindustan Times, reported that the decision was prompted by a recent attack in Pahalgam, which Indian officials claimed left 26 tourists dead. The incident has led to heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, with the Indian government accusing Pakistan-based elements of involvement.

In the wake of the attack, India’s cricket governing body, the BCCI, reiterated its stance of not engaging in any bilateral series with Pakistan, citing security and political reasons.
The incident has triggered a series of diplomatic and economic measures. India announced the immediate suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan—a key water-sharing agreement in place since 1960.
Moreover, New Delhi has directed all Pakistani nationals in India to leave within 48 hours and has recalled its military attaché from Islamabad. It also ordered a downsizing of its diplomatic mission in Pakistan and temporarily closed the Wagah border crossing.

In Islamabad, Pakistan’s National Security Committee, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, responded strongly to the developments. The committee rejected India’s actions as baseless and provocative, warning that the suspension of the water treaty would be viewed as a hostile act.
The committee further stated that any disruption to Pakistan’s water flow would amount to a declaration of war, vowing an immediate and firm response.
