Islamabad, Nov 22: Karachi is expected to experience a hot and sunny day today, with the maximum temperature reaching 32°C, as forecasted by the Meteorological Department.
Winds from the northwest, blowing at a speed of 5 km/h, will provide slight relief amidst the warm conditions.
However, Karachi’s air quality has significantly worsened.
The city is now ranked as the 8th most polluted in Pakistan and the 20th most polluted globally, according to the Air Quality Index.
This decline in air quality raises concerns about public health, particularly for vulnerable groups.
Authorities have advised residents to take precautions against the heat and pollution, including staying hydrated and avoiding outdoor activities during peak hours.
