Islamabad, Dec 9: Khurram Zafar has officially assumed his role as the Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited (PMEX).

Zafar brings extensive experience in business, technology, and capital market leadership spanning Pakistan, Europe, and the United States.

Previously led a Pakistan-focused venture capital fund.
Founded the LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship, fostering innovation and startups.
Served on the Board and Digital Financial Services advisory committee of Karandaaz Pakistan.
Held the position of Chief Information Officer at the Lahore Stock Exchange.

Zafar has also consulted for renowned organizations such as Merrill Lynch, Visa, and Bank of America during his tenure in the United States.

His appointment signals a forward-looking approach for PMEX, leveraging his diverse expertise to drive growth and innovation in Pakistan’s financial markets.
