Islamabad, 24 Apr, 2025: Kia Pakistan has announced potential delays in vehicle shipments due to widespread road closures and ongoing demonstrations affecting major highways across Sindh province.

In a formal update, Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC), which assembles and distributes Kia vehicles in the country, informed customers that although all deliveries promised for the month of March had been successfully completed, the current logistics environment poses serious challenges for transportation to regions in the north.

Despite uninterrupted production at its manufacturing facilities, Kia Pakistan reported that the movement of vehicles from the factory to various upcountry dealerships has been disrupted.

The company attributed this delay to blocked highways and uncertain conditions created by the ongoing unrest.

LMC assured the public that the situation is being closely monitored, and efforts are underway to restore normal delivery operations.

Coordination with transport partners has been strengthened to expedite the resumption of dispatches once travel routes are declared safe and functional.

Customer safety and secure vehicle handling remain key priorities for the automaker, according to the statement.

The company stressed that although the delays are outside its control, every possible step is being taken to reduce inconvenience and to keep buyers informed about their delivery timelines.

Motorists awaiting new vehicles have been encouraged to stay in touch with Kia dealerships or contact LMC’s customer service representatives for real-time support and information.

LMC also extended gratitude to its clients for their understanding and loyalty during this temporary disruption.

Industry analysts note that supply chain interruptions of this nature have become increasingly common in recent years due to a variety of external pressures, including civil unrest and global logistical constraints.

The latest disruption serves as a reminder of the fragility of road-based distribution networks in times of social or political turbulence.

As the situation develops, automotive companies operating in Pakistan are expected to reassess their contingency plans to mitigate the impact of future interruptions.

For now, customers of Kia Pakistan are being asked to remain patient as the company works to resume regular delivery operations.
