Islamabad, 29 Apr, 2025: Kinnaird College Student Dies in a heartbreaking incident after reportedly falling from the first floor of the college’s library building on Jail Road, Lahore.
The 21-year-old student was rushed to hospital in critical condition but later passed away in the emergency unit due to the severity of her injuries.
The deceased student, identified as Maida, was pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Kinnaird College for Women.
According to initial details shared by local police officials, the student may have lost her balance due to a sudden spell of dizziness, leading to the fall from the library located on the upper level of the campus.

Authorities stated that Maida was immediately transported to a nearby hospital following the incident. Medical staff attempted to stabilise her condition, but she succumbed to internal injuries shortly after being admitted.

However, investigators confirmed that a full inquiry has been launched to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
The management of Kinnaird College has not yet issued an official statement, though staff members and fellow students expressed shock and sorrow over the sudden loss.
Some students on campus described Maida as a quiet and hardworking individual who kept to herself and focused intently on her academic work.
