Islamabad, Oct 4: Lahore to Host Pakistan’s First-Ever Autism School. Friday saw the first autism school in Pakistan open its doors in Lahore thanks to the efforts of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Under the chief minister’s leadership, the school will be finished in a year with the goal of offering specialized instruction and support for kids with autism, according to 24NewsHD TV. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz underlined at the occasion how urgently the project needs to be led by autistic experts.
In order to guarantee that the facility satisfies international standards for care and education for autistic children, she also ordered that the school’s development be carried out in conjunction with these experts.
The ground and first floors of the first autism school will have 10 classrooms for the senior part and 11 classes for the junior portion. Ten cubicle speech treatment rooms, a therapy room, and a pre-vocational training room will be located on the ground floor. There will also be a computer lab, daily living activity rooms, and other facilities that are required.
Three classrooms, a committee room, a library, a resource room, and a multipurpose hall will all be constructed on the first floor. There is room for growth because the structure is made to support two more levels in the future.
According to Maryam Nawaz, this project is an important step in ensuring that kids with autism receive the care they require. She also stated that kids with autism deserve compassion and understanding.
