ISLAMABAD, AUGUST 10: The enforcement of unlawful commercial use in Lahore has been stepped up by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA). Teams from the LDA sealed eighteen structures in Sabzazar and Allama Iqbal Town on

Friday due to nonpayment of the necessary commercialization fees.
The operation targeted a number of locations, including a clinic, individual offices, and retail stores, in addition to Stars School System, Dar-ul-Madinah, Rakan Grammar School, Pips School System, and Rana Academy. Assad-uz-Zaman, the Chief Town Planner, spearheaded the enforcement campaign with the assistance of enforcement teams and the police.

The owners of these structures received several notices prior to the operation, according to LDA officials. The continuance of strict measures against encroachments, unlawful business activity in Lahore, and violations of building and parking standards has been directed by LDA Director General Tahir Farooq.

The administration has revealed plans to remodel the Thokar Niaz Baig crossroads in unrelated news. Within the following few days, the LDA will start maintenance and repair work on the city’s main gateway.
The project’s goal is to improve the attractiveness and space of the entry and exit points.
