Islamabad, JULY23: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) continued its fight against rule breakers and commercial fee defaulters by demolishing multiple structures and sealing fourteen other constructions. Teams followed Director General LDA Tahir Farooq’s orders and removed unapproved commercial buildings at Plot No. 11 in Lahore Avenue Society as well as dismantled illegal floors in the Architect Engineering Society. They also sealed up unapproved stores at Qayyumabad Town’s Plot No. 186 and took down the illegitimate shutters at the Hamza Medical Complex on Jan Muhammad Road and in Johar Town Block H.

Fourteen homes were fined by the LDA teams as part of their campaign against fee defaulters. Director of Town Planning Zone IV Ali Nusrat and Chief Town Planner Azhar Ali oversaw the operation. The properties in question received several notices prior to the procedure. The operation also involved substantial police contingents and the enforcement wing.
