Islamabad, Aug 21: The “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” program, which aims to provide cheap homes, was introduced on Wednesday by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. During her statement, Maryam Nawaz highlighted the government’s commitment to swiftly constructing homes for people in need while expressing pride in the scheme’s successful creation. “We have succeeded in creating this scheme, and we will quickly build houses and provide them to the people,” she said.

The chief minister of Punjab stated that both she and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had been looking forward to its implementation since we are carrying on his legacy of giving farmers land during his tenure.
Maryam Nawaz emphasized the significant advantages of homeownership, stating,

“There is no greater service than giving someone a place to live and a roof over their head.” She stated that the government would lend 15 lakh interest-free for 5 marla of land in urban areas and 10 marla of land in rural regions in order to support this. “No payments will be required for the first three months,” she stated.

The chief minister of Punjab also disclosed information regarding the scheme’s affordability, mentioning that the monthly payment will amount to 14,000 rupees. “I understand how low-income people live, and this scheme is designed to ease their financial burden,” she stated.

Along with the housing project, Maryam Nawaz unveiled a significant relief package for electricity bills, totaling between 45 and 50 billion rupees.

She also revealed plans for the biggest solar initiative in Pakistani history, which is expected to go live next year and hopefully do away with the need for electricity bills going forward. “Maryam Nawaz is bringing the biggest solar program in history from next year so that you don’t have to pay the bill next year,” she said.

One of the main initiatives of Maryam Nawaz’s to alleviate suffering and enhance living conditions for Punjabi citizens is the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” program.
