Islamabad, 26 Apr, 2025: Labour Day will be observed as a public holiday across Sindh on Wednesday, May 1, following a formal directive issued by the provincial administration to commemorate the global day dedicated to workers’ rights.
The Services, General Administration and Coordination Department released an official circular confirming that all government-run and semi-autonomous offices will remain closed on the specified date.
This measure also includes the closure of all academic institutions, ranging from primary schools to universities.
The announcement reflects the government’s annual tradition of recognising International Workers’ Day, which is celebrated worldwide on May 1 as a symbol of solidarity with labourers.
