Islamabad, Sep 14: The students of Froebel’s International School (F-7 Campus) celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival with a colorful mooncake cutting ceremony. The event was arranged by UNI International, a Chinese organization that aims to promote interpersonal relationships and cultural exchange.
One of the most significant traditional festivals in China was introduced to instructors and students via this event, which offered an exciting learning environment. Max Ma, the founder and CEO of UNI International, welcomed everyone and emphasized the importance of the festival in his opening remarks.
After that, Academic Director Sienna Xi led an engaging storytelling session during which she used images, films, language-learning activities, and Chinese dance performances to illustrate the rich cultural significance and history of the Mid-Autumn Festival.Pupils eagerly engaged in a range of interactive exercises and sampled a variety of mooncakes, which are customary holiday sweets that come in a variety of flavors.
The Mooncake Festival, also called the Full Moon Festival, is held on the fifteenth day of the eighth month in the Chinese lunar calendar. Max Ma outlined some of the major features of the event. According to him, the Mid-Autumn Festival is a time when loved ones get together to celebrate the full moon.
Which is believed to be at its brightest and fullest during this time of year, and to enjoy mooncakes. He continued, “The most well-known dish of the celebration is mooncakes, which are round, represent unity, and differ in size, flavor, and style among Chinese regions.”
