Islamabad, 13 April 2025: Multan Sultans have pledged to support charitable organisations working for children in Palestine in the 10th season of PSL.

The initiative was announced during the toss ahead of their first match, as Mohammad Rizwan shared the plans to donate for every significant on-field performance.

Rizwan said that the team had decided to contribute funds to Palestinian charities for every six, four, or wicket achieved by their players during the event.

The gesture, the wicket-keeper batter added, was a way for the team to show solidarity with children affected by ongoing conflict in Gaza.

The announcement was also reinforced by franchise owner Ali Tareen, who released a video statement outlining the details of the initiative.

The franchise owner stated that the idea came from within the team, as both batters and bowlers expressed their desire to help.

He explained that the franchise would donate PKR 100,000 for every six hit or wicket taken by a Multan Sultans player during PSL 2025.

The donations will be directed specifically to organisations that provide aid to children impacted by the humanitarian crisis in Palestine.

Tareen added that the initiative was a collective decision, with players keen to go beyond the cricket field and make a difference.

He said the franchise wanted to use the platform of the PSL not only to entertain fans but also to raise awareness and contribute to a cause they deeply care about.

This move by Multan Sultans has been widely appreciated by fans and human rights advocates, who view it as a powerful message of empathy and responsibility.

As PSL 10 progresses, all eyes will not only be on the scoreboard but also on the growing support for a greater cause beyond the game.
