Islamabad, Dec 14: Recently the Chairman NADRA removed its Director General Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmed on the basis of fake degrees submitted with the authority.
An official status telling him that he has been dismissed has been sent. Earlier, NADRA had sent a request to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) to authenticate Ahmed’s degree.
What came out during the inquiry was that his MBA from Mason University in USA was fake, a photocopy.
Further, there are variations in BBA degree documents also where the name of the college mentioned whereas issuing does not match with records available. High Court in Islamabad also supported HEC’s move to withdraw the equivalency of MBA degree.
After this, NADRA served a show-cause notice to one Zulfiqar Ahmed, but the latter could not come up with a proper explanation.
Based on the court’s decision and Ahmed’s weak statement, NADRA’s chairman thought it rightful to dismiss him from his job.
