Lahore, March 03, 2025: Almost 94483 solar systems will be set up throughout the year under CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme.
Automatic digital draw of the free solar panel scheme was conducted by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore today.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif congratulated the fortunate consumers who have won the free solar panel scheme. She also directed to complete solar panel installation process as soon as possible.
People want to get relief from expensive electricity, without any delay, says CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Solar system installation will begin at the end of March after the physical verification process completes.
Completion of Free Solar System in Punjab
The first phase of the Free Solar Panel Scheme will be completed by July, 2025, says the Secretary Energy in the briefing to the Chief Minister Punjab on Free Solar Panel Scheme.

Solar system will be installed free of up to 200 units monthly consumers across the province.
For this scheme, 861000 users applied for the free solar panel scheme.
Initial work on all the Free Solar Panel Scheme was completed through the process of end-to-end digitalization.
Around 47182 total systems of 0.55kw and 47301 systems of 1.1 kW will be installed under the scheme.
Solar system will be given free of cost for the users of 100 to 200 units monthly.

Wapda bill reference number and CNIC number on the consumer’s monthly bill are used for this verification process.
Free Solar System in Punjab Helpline Installed
Helpline has also been set up to support and guide users receiving free solar panels. Solar panels and inverters will be attached to the user’s computerized ID card to protect them from theft.
Installing nearly one lakh solar system in Punjab will reduce the cost of 57,000 tons of carbon freeing the climate from this burden.
The Free Solar Panal Scheme will also reduce subsidy burden on the federal government.
