Jason Gillespie, Pakistan’s Test coach, will land in the country on July 7 to manage a pre-season training camp in Karachi. During their Australian tour, the Shaheens will play two four-day matches against Bangladesh A under the leadership of the former Australian bowler.

Commencing on June 24 and ending on July 7, the pre-season fitness camp is timed to coincide with Gillespie’s arrival. After this camp, which is designed to get the players ready for the next season, there will be a training camp from July 8–13. For this training camp, the roster will be reduced to 15 players in preparation for their upcoming journey to Darwin, Australia.

The Shaheens have a full program in Darwin. According to a press release from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), they will play two 50-over matches against Northern Territory and Bangladesh, two four-day matches against Bangladesh A, and take part in the nine-team Top End T20 Series.

As the team’s head coach, Gillespie will go to Darwin to oversee the training camp from July 8–13. After the second four-day game against Bangladesh A on July 29, he is expected to return to Pakistan to take up his position as head coach of the national team and get ready for the two-Test series against Bangladesh.

Mohammad Masroor is currently in charge of the pre-season fitness and fielding training. He will also be traveling to Darwin in the capacity of Assistant Coach/Manager. August 4–18 will see the team play 50-over and T20 matches. Abdul Rehman has been named head coach for the white-ball team and will report on July 28.The camp is not open to national players who are competing in the UK right now or who participated in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
