Islamabad, Sep 23: In partnership with the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) is offering a 5-day Coding Fellows training program. The program is divided into two sessions, with 40 fellows each.

The project aims to bridge the digital divide and promote early-age tech literacy by empowering skilled individuals to teach coding and AI skills to government elementary school kids in Islamabad, according to the Education Ministry.

The ministry shared an outline of the training, stating that the main focus areas include classroom management, coding principles (block-based programming, Scratch), pedagogy for primary school kids, and lesson design and delivery.

However, the specifics of the anticipated results show that more than 1,50 primary school pupils would learn how to code from the trained coding fellows, improving digital literacy among the young of Islamabad, improving critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and creating a possible pipeline for future tech talent. It further stated that this project exemplifies the Federal Education Ministry’s dedication to community development, education, and technical innovation.
